World International Master
Mateusz Sobczak
Mateusz took his first steps in bridge at the age of 12 while attending extracurricular activities at school. He quickly caught the bug, which resulted in numerous medals in youth and junior categories.
During his junior career, he became the World Junior Individual Champion in 2019 and a World University Champion (in 2016 and 2018). Mateusz has represented Poland on the international stage numerous times in junior categories. In 2024, he also represented Poland in the mixed category at the European National Teams Championships in Denmark.
Mateusz's most important titles and achievements include:
- World International Master (official World Bridge Federation title awarded in 2022);
- World Junior Individual Champion;
- World University Champion and Vice-Champion;
- Polish BAM Teams Champion;
- Multiple Polish Champion in the Polish Team Championships series and medalist in the Polish Grand Prix Teams finals;
- Multiple medalist in tournaments and finals of the Polish Grand Prix Pairs series;
- Multiple medalist in the Polish Team Championships;
- Represented the Polish mixed team at the 2024 European National Teams Championships (EBL).
